This Practice and specified references define the minimum requirements for the performance, design, fabrication, testing, and inspection of instrumentation systems installed on small packaged equipment. Specific owner requirements are shown on the associated data sheet PIP PCSPS10D.
Purpose
This Practice defines minimum technical requirements for instrumentation and controls incorporated on small, general purpose skid package units (e.g., liquid ring vacuum pumps, refrigeration units). This Practice is not intended for packaged analyzers systems or for packages that contain safety-instrumented systems (SIS).
