scope:
This standard establishes a classification of technical aids for disabled persons. At present, it is restricted to those technical aids which are used mainly by an individual disabled person. The classification is intended to promote communication. It may be used for example, as the basis for information systems on and about technical aids for disabled persons, for the development of stock control system or for the production of supply statistics.
