This specification covers two types (shielded and unshielded) of insulated, heavy-duty, single- and multiconductor, electrical cables for use in low-tension circuits (see 6.1).
Cable shall be of the following types and classes, as specified (see 6.2):
Type I - Unshielded Type II - Shielded Class A - Single Conductor Class B - Multiconductor
Cable shall be furnished in the size or combination of sizes and arrangement of conductors shown on the applicable specification sheet or drawing (see 6.2). Beneficial comments (recommendations, additions, deletions) and any pertinent data which may be of use in improving this document should be addressed to: U.S. Army Tank-Automotive Command, ATTN: AMSTA-GDS, Warren, MI 48397-5000, by using the self-addressed Standardization Document Improvement Proposal (DD Form 1426) appearing at the end of this document or by letter.
