This specification establishes the general requirements for hydraulic linear actuators when used in any aircraft hydraulic system except flight controls. The complete actuator assembly may incorporate other components, such as check valves, solenoid valves, bypass valves, and pressure switches, in addition to the actuator. The actuator may be controlled by mechanical linkage, electrical means, or direct hydraulic power.
