AIM

The aim of this document is to prescribe the minimum standards for 2 wire analogue ring-down field telephone sets for NATO. These requirements are not intended to replace the military characteristics for field telephone sets of any involved country which may include performance characteristics more rigid or in excess of those herein stated; however, any such excess requirement must not compromise interoperability with comparable equipments of the various countries involved.
