This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
The requirements for acquiring the product described herein shall consist of this specification sheet and the issue of MIL-DTL-11589 listed in that issue of the Department of Defense Index of Specifications and Standards (DoDISS) specified in the solicitation.
SERVICE RIBBON BAR (1-⅜ inch/35.0 mm) will have a black silk screened area across the top with a 22.5 degree angle at the corners and 3/16 inch (0.48 cm) wide across the center stripe.
FULL SIZE DRAPE (1-⅜ inch/35.0 mm) will have a black silk screen area across the top with a 45 degree angle at the corners and 7/16 inch (11.1 mm) wide across the center stripe. The finished drape will be 2 inches (50.8 mm) in length.
MINIATURE SIZE DRAPE (11/16 inch/17.5 mm) will have a black silk screened area across the top with a 45 degree angle at the corners and 7/32 inch (5.5 mm) wide across the center stripe. The finished drape will be 1-⅜ inch (35.0 mm) in length.
