scope:
Applicability.
This regulation applies to the Active Army, the Army National Guard of the United States, and the U.S. Army Reserve. Specifically, it applies to U.S. Army Reserve personnel lawfully ordered to active duty or active duty for training under the provisions of Title 10, United States Code. This regulation is applicable during mobilization. This regulation is not applicable to Army National Guard members serving on annual training or full-time National Guard duty under Title 32, United States Code. The proponent of this regulation may modify chapters and policy of this regulation during mobilization.
Purpose
This regulation provides standards for receiving, processing, safeguarding, and disposing of physical evidence acquired by special agents of the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (USACIDC), Military Police (MP), and Department of the Army (DA) employees and contractor personnel who are assigned to civilian police or security guard positions involving the enforcement of law and security duties on Army installations or activities.
