The Provisioning Parts List (PPL) contains the end item, component or assembly and all support items which can be disassembled, reassembled, or replaced, and which, when combined, constitutes the end item, component, or assembly and shall include items such as parts, materials, connecting cabling, piping, and fittings required for the operation and maintenance.

The PPL is used to determine the range and quantity of support items required to maintain the end item for an initial period of service.

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract, paragraphs 3.4.3 and 5 of DS-84, Data Standard for the Preparation and Submission of Provisioning Technical Documentation.
