This NES covers the design and construction of Switchgear used in the Electrical Supply and Distribution Systems operating at voltages up to 1000 volts ac or 1200 volts dc. The particular equipments covered are as follows:
Main Supply Switchboards;
Circuit Breakers;
Distribution Switchboards;
Control Boards;
Change-over Switches.
The particular requirements for equiprnents covered by this NES will be given in the Statement of Technical Requirements (STR) which will accompany a contract or invitation to tender.
