This specification covers cotton osnaburg cloth.
The cloth osnaburg, cotton shall be of the following types and classes, as specified (see 6.2):
Type I - Unbleached Class 2 - 6.8 oz/sq yd Type II - Coating quality Class 2 - 6.1 oz/sq yd Class 3 - 4.9 oz/sq yd Class 5 - 3.5 oz/sq yd Type III - Dyed Class 2 - 6.1 oz/sq yd
intended Use:
The cloth is used for packing material, target cloth, and may be used as a base cloth for coated cloth for use in the manufacture of clothing and equipage items.
