AIM
The aim of this agreement is to standardize the exchange format for digital terrain elevation data. This data may be used by NATO as an integral part of Command, Control and Information Systems and by nations in the production of land maps, aeronautical charts, sensor simulations, sensor predictions, terrain models and various other products requiring the use of terrain information.
