The standard specifies the basic specifications and testing requirements for ISO series 1 containers suitable for the ca rriage of gases, liquids, and solid substances (dry bulk) wh ich may be loaded or unloaded as liquids either for gravity or pressure discharge, for international exchange and for co nveyance by road, rail and sea including interchange between these forms of transport.
