This Standard applies to nonmetallic enclosures not exceeding 1640 mi in volume, or parts of nonmetallic enclosures intended for wiring devices with a rated voltage not exceeding 750 V.

This Standard applies to the safety of equipment designed to be installed and used in accordance with the rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1.
