scope:

This specification covers the quality assurance provisions and special requirements not covered by the drawings for parts and assembly of the Fuze, Rocket, PIBD, M438 Sub-Assembly with Detonator, with option of one (1) of two (2) Power Supply Sources: Thermal Battery or Magnetic Impulse Generator (MIG).

The power supply option for the Fuze M438, covered by this specification shall be of the following types, as specified:

a. Power Supply, Part No. 11830060 (Magnetic Impulse Generator)(MIG)

b. Safety and Arming Device, Part No. 11830062

c. Impact Switch, Part No. 11714370-2

d. Base Assembly, Part No. 11830052

The components covered by this specification are intended for use in the 2.75 Inch Rocket System.
