NATO - ANEP-55

NATO INDUSTRIAL ADVISORY GROUP NIAG/SG-52 NAVAL COMBAT SYSTEM (NCS) ARCHITECTURE DESIGN PRINCIPLES STANDARDIZATION

active, Most Current
Organization: NATO
Publication Date: 1 October 1997
Status: active
Page Count: 136
scope:

This study addresses the Combat System Design Process Flow and related Design Tools relevant to the Design Process part, and does not address the Validation and Verification part. The differentiation of these two parts is described in the section 3 discussion of a model referred to as the "V" model. This focus on the Design part only was necessary due to constraints of schedule. Work on the Validation and Verification part would be a valuable extension of this work.

The study addresses only the Design aspects of the System Solution and does not address Project Management aspects. General comments are made on the overall "rating" of design tools, but detailed specific recommendations were not within the scope of this study.
