This Standard covers single-phase, ac electrical installations not exceeding 250 V between conductors OP 150 V to ground, on boats which may have an on-board source of electrical supply or may be connected to a source of ac electrical supply that is in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code. Part I.

This Standard applies to boats that are not required to be certified by the Department of Transport.

The requirements of this Standard are based on CSA Standard C22.1, Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1. Where no specific requirements are given herein! those of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I shall apply.
