1. SCOPE:

This standard establishes, in conjunction with VA2X, the painting materials, colors, recommended method of paint application and color coding to be used on Company facilities, for new construction and for mamtenance Existing machinery, equipment and building interiors can be repainted to match present color.(l) Where specific colors are not indicated for materials to be painted, they may be repainted their existing color, the new Standard color, or an alternate color if approved by the Engineering Department, Plant Engineering office, Manufacturing Staff. Colon for exterior items to be painted of new facilities will be selected by the Architect and approved by the Engineering Department, Plant Engineering Office, Manufacturing Staff. Normal time cycling for repainting of ,existing facilities shall be observed.
