Purpose. To establish the Notification Program for military offenders sentenced by court-martial for sex offenses or crimes against minors; to designate those persons responsible for identifying the offender sentenced for sex offenses or crimes against minors; and to perform the notifications required by references (a) and (b). Hereafter, the term "sentenced" refers to the date the sentence is adjudged.

Applicability. This instruction applies throughout the Department of Navy (DON). It pertains to all DON personnel sentenced at general or special courts-martial of a qualifying sex offense or crime against minors as listed in enclosure (1).
