This specification covers the requirements for three types of silver-silver chloride reference electrodes used as components of cathodic protection systems.
The reference electrodes shall be furnished in the following types, as specified (see 6.2):
Type I - Silver-silver chloride portable reference electrode (cell). Type II - Silver-silver chloride power supply reference electrode. Type III - Silver-silver chloride replacement element kit for MIL-E-23919 reference electrode.
