This document has been promulgated by the Department of Defense as the military standard to limit the selection of the item, product, or design, covered herein in engineering, design, and procurement. This standard shall become effective not later than 90 days after the latest date of approval shown.
1. All dimensions in inches.
2. Tapped hole for:
Size 1 - #8-32 NC-2B 9/32 deep 2 - ¼-28 UNF-2B ⅜ deep 3 - ⅜-24 UNF-2B 9/16 deep
3. The nominal design value at minimum rated load is 1-⅜ for dimpled mounting and 1-9/16 for flat mounting. The manufacturer's rated loaded height at minimum rated load is the nominal design value ±1/32, −1/16. (See note 4.)
4. The loaded height of the vibration mount at minimum rated load is the manufacturer's rated loaded height ±3/84.
5. This dimension is the final clearance diameter, with or without eyelet.
6. The MS part number consists of the MS military-standard number followed by a dash number. The dash number indicates the following:
First character - Size. Second character - Class. Third character - Serially assigned to load ranges within each size and class. Fourth character - "D" indicates short stud for dimpled mounting, "H" indicates long stud for flat mounting.
7. Qualification inspection required.
8. Referenced document shall be of the issue in effect on date of invitation for bids.
9. This standard takes precedence over document referenced herein.
