This standard specifies a system for the interchange of digital road related geographic information. It takes into account all the requirements of applications in the road transport and traffic telemetics (RTTT) field. Within this field, the standard is application independent. The standard contains the following detailed specifications: a) A reference model according to which the information covered by the standard shall be defined.
