This Guide explains the intent and compares the increasing comprehensiveness and sophistication of the four Quality Assurance Program Standards in the CAN3-2299 series. Guidance is provided for selecting appropriate Standards for given products or services and for developing and implementing the Quality Assurance Programs.

CAN3-Z299.1-85, Quality Assurance Program-Category 1;

CAN3-Z299.2-85, Quality Assurance Program-Category 2;

This Guide provides one or more ways of meeting the mandatory requirements of Z299.1, Z299.2, Z299.3, and Z299.4. Z299.0 should be read in conjunction with the Standard being implemented. It does not reduce or increase the requirements of the Standard.
