PURPOSE

The purpose of this document is to define the requirements for certification and operation of pressure systems.

APPLICABILITY

This document applies to all ground-based, medium-weight, and flight-weight pressure vessels and systems (including vacuum) that are Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC)-owned or used on MSFC property, in permanent or temporary configurations, regardless of owner or user. The responsible contracting officer will decide if this Marshall Procedures and Guidelines (MPG) applies to any offsite contractor that performs work for MSFC and will make this MPG a contract requirement, if necessary.
