This specification covers hydraulic check valves for use in type II aircraft hydraulic systems conforming to specification MIL-H-5440. The complete specification for these check valves consists of specification MIL-H-8775, which covers the general requirements common to all aircraft hydraulic components, and this specification which includes additional requirements specifically applicable to type II check valves.
Hydraulic check valves furnished under this specification shall bear the appropriate number code in accordance with the following (see 3.5):
