This standard defines terms for wastewater treatment. Bearing in mind the requirement to produce a series of definitions to assist other CEN working groups in the general area of wastewater engineering, this standard has been produced as quickly as possible. However, it is not totally complete with a small number of terms still requiring to be defined. WG 43 is continuing to work on these definitions and in due course an Addendum (Amendment) to this standard covering these items will be issued for enquiry. Once approved, these additional terms will be included in future revisions of this standard.
