This part of EN ISO 8583 describes the application and registration procedure for Institution Identification Codes (IIC), in accordance with EN ISO 8583 (willl become 8583-1 at next revision). EN ISO 8583 specifies a numbering system for institution identification codes for institutions which do not qualify for an ISO 7812 issuer identification number.
