scope:
This standard establishes the inspection requirements and a standard classification of manufacturing and final assembly defects for parachutes.
The purpose of this standard is to:
a. Provide a uniform standard of quality for determining the acceptability of parachutes and their components.
b. Standardize the inspection requirements for all parachute manufacturers.
c. Consolidate, into a single document, definitions of all parachute terms.
This standard shall apply when it is referenced in the specification or contract provisions.
