scope:
This specification covers a coat and trousers that provides chemical protection and flame resistance to military personnel. This is a special purpose Life Support Clothing and Equipment (LSC&E) item. All Government administrative and surveillance procedures applicable to LSC&E items shall be invoked in accordance with the contract or purchase order (see 6.2).
intended Use:
The coat and trousers are intended for use by aviator personnel to provide protection against battlefield concentrations of chemical agents in liquid, vapor, or aerosol form.
