Design Guidelines for Administration of Telecommunications Infrastructure in Commercial Buildings
|Publication Date:||1 January 1993|
This is the first edition of CSA Standard CAN/CSA-T528, Design Guidelines for Administration of Telecornmunications Infrastructure in Commercial Buildings. It is written in SI (metric) units with Imperial units in brackets.
This Standard is the product of a joint Canadian/American initiative undertaken by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). In August 1987 CSA and TIA (then EIA) decided to consolidate the efforts of some of their TR-41 Technical Committees, each of which had been working independently pursuing approximately the same standards goal. The resulting Standard is published separately in each country. The core clauses or sections of the two Standards are similar in essence, with only minor differences remaining in language, style, format, practice, and code requirements or regulations.
This Standard has been prepared by the Technical Subcommittee on Administration of Building Facilities, Wiring and Cable, under the jurisdiction of the Technical Committee on Telecommunications Facilities in Buildings and the Steering Committee on Telecommunications (SCOT), and was formally approved by these Committees. It has been approved as a National Standard of Canada by the Standards Council of Canada.
