This specification details the requirements for producing ammonia developed diazo or heat developed vesicular duplicate microfilm and the cartridge loading, labeling, packaging, and shipping of the reproduced microfilm. This comprises distribution microfilm for storage of data and retrieval by reader-printer equipment.
Microfilm covered by this specification shall be of types, classes, and kinds listed below. The type, class, and kind of micro-film to be delivered shall be as specified by the procuring activity. For Type I microfilm classification, refer to MIL-M-61930(AS).
Type II - Diazotype microfilm
Class 2 - Second reproduction microfilm made from Type I, Class 2, Kind N or Kind P microfilm
Class 3 - Third reproduction microfilm made from Type I, Class 3, Kind N or Kind P microfilm
Type III - Vesicular microfilm
Class 2 - Second reproduction microfilm made from Type I, Class 2, Kind N or Kind P microfilm
Class 3 - Third reproduction microfilm made from Type I, Class 3, kind N or Kind P microfilm
