This standard is part of a series of standards on a method for calculation of system energy requirements and system efficiencies.
The scope of this specific part is to standardise the:
- required inputs;
- calculation methods;
- required outputs;
for heat generation biomass combustion systems, including control.
In some cases it is recommended to extend the generation system with an energy storage system to improve the operation conditions regarding thermal efficiency and environmental impact.
The case of domestic hot water is treated in a different standard.
