This specification covers three types fixed RF attenuators, designated Attenuator CN-29( )/UP, Attenuator CN-42( )/UP, and Attenuator CN-43( )/UP.
The parentheses in the nomenclature will be replaced on nameplates, et cetera, by a letter identifying the particular design; for example, Attenuator CN-29Z/UP. The identifying letter to be used to replace the parentheses will be furnished to the contractor upon his application to the Procuring Agency after the contract has been awarded.
