This specification covers requirements for optional backless vests in scarlet (General Officer's) and white for special occasions.
The vests are provided in one type, two classes (colors) and one size.
Class 1 - Scarlet (General Officer's) Class 2 - White (Officer's-Special Occasions)
When the vest is custom tailored to an individual order, this specification shall govern, except the Beneficial comments (recommendations, additions, deletions) and any pertinent data which may be of use in improving this document should be addressed to the Commander (PSE-D), Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA 22134-5010 by using the Standardization Document Improvement Proposal (DD Form 1426) appearing at the end of this document or by letter.
