Organization: NPFC
Publication Date: 16 August 1989
Status: inactive
Page Count: 40
scope:

This specification covers the detail requirements for monolithic silicon, CMOS serial communications controller (SCC). One product assurance class (B), one lead finish, and a choice of case outlines are provided and are reflected in the Part or Identifying Number (PIN) (see 6.7).

The device types should identify the circuit function as follows:

Device type Generic number Frequency Circuit function 01 Z85C3006 6.0 MHz Serial communications controller 02 Z85C3008 8.5 MHz Serial communications controller

The device class should be the product assurance level as defined in MIL-M-38510.

The case outlines should be designated as follows:

Letter Case outline, (see MIL-M-38510, appendix C) $ Q D-5 (40-lead, 2.096" × .620" × .225"), dual-in-line package X C-5 (44-terminal, .662" × .662" × .120"), square leadless chip carrier
