The present document defines the minimum specifications of the technical characteristics of Satellite Interactive Terminals (SIT) operating as part of a satellite network. These SITs are used for reception of audio-visual signals as well as data and for providing a return channel for interactive services via satellite. In such a network a Network Control Facility (NCF) is responsible for the monitoring and control of the transmit functions of the SITs. These SITs have the following characteristics:
