ARINC Specification 628 Part 5 provides design and mounting guidelines for electrical installations, mainly for suppliers of cabin furnishing equipment.

The first paragraph of each section contains general guidelines applicable to most situations. Subsequent paragraphs contain guidelines for specific applications. Points are made regarding design, safety, and other subjects relevant to acceptance of the end item.

Notes from designers on why a guideline is set or suggestions on the manner in which a task may be performed are provided in Commentary.
