It is the intent of this standard to provide general criteria by which to govern the inspection of highway structures (bridges) on interstate, Primary and Secondary roads, relative to painting needs as well as cleaning and controlling the operations thereof. inclusive under cleaning and painting shall be preparation of surfaces, application of the paint, protection and drying of the applied paint, all material and equipment necessary for the protection of structures and public by any of the painting operations.
