Lacquer, Shellac, Kaolin, Stearated, Type QX

inactive, Most Current
Organization: MODUK
Publication Date: 3 October 1997
Status: inactive
Page Count: 13
scope:

This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for a shellac lacquer, for use on the internal surfaces of rolled paper cases for pyrotechnic flares.

The designation Type QX'indicates that the material is suitable for certain applications where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement. However, compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established and users should seek advice on particular applications through the responsible Technical and Supervising Authority named in the tender, contract or order.

Attention is drawn to the requirements of Def Stan 13-102.
