The standard specifies that transformers shall be designed and constructed to withstand without damage the thermal and dynamic effects of external short circuits under specified conditions. Introduces tests to demonstrate the ability to withstand short circuit. Values of impedance voltage now given for rated power up to 200 000 k VA.
