scope:
Purpose. This regulation sets forth policies and responsibilities for Army input to and use of the Hazardous Materials Information Resource System (HMIRS). It applies to all hazardous materials (HAZMAT) managed, procured, used, or manufactured by the Department of the Army (DA).
Applicability. This regulation applies to the Active Army, the Army National Guard of the United States/Army National Guard, and the U.S. Army Reserve unless otherwise stated. During mobilization, chapters and policies contained in this regulation may be modified by the proponent.
