This specification covers pressure-proof single and multiple cable connectors, plugs, receptacles, adapters, hull inserts, and hull insert plugs.
Pressure-proof fittings (connectors, plugs, receptacles, adapters, hull inserts, and hull insert plugs) shall be of the following types as specified (see 6.2.1).
Type I - Molded plugs (straight and 90-degree). Type II - Adapters for molded plugs. Type III - Single cable connectors. Type IV - Multiple cable connectors. Type V - Multi-pin receptacles (receptacles for multiple cable connectors). Type VI - Plugs for hull inserts. Type VII - Hull inserts.

This appendix describes the uses of the various plugs, receptacles, adapters, single and multiple cable connectors, and hull insert plugs, and shows the mating connections in tabular form. This appendix also lists the standard electrical drawings which are superseded by this specification.
