This specification covers the design and performance requirements for a rate gyroscope used in the F-4 aircraft Automatic Flight Control System.
Gyroscopes shall be of the following types and categories as specified (see 6.2).
The type of gyroscope is as follows.
Type I. Yaw rate gyroscope.
Type II. Pitch rate gyroscope.
Type III. Roll rate gyroscope.

This specification covers the requirements for 3 rate gyroscopes used in the F4 aircraft Automatic Flight Control System.
