This Standard covers asphalt rooting shingles that are composed ot glass felt impregnated and coated on both sides with asphalt, and surfaced on the weather side with mineral granules.
These shingles can be ol conventional two- or three-tab design, scalloped, laminated or Interlocking type. Shingles may be supplied with factory-applied, thermally activated, self-sealing adhesive.
Note: Asphalt shingles made irom glass felt tend to be brittle In cold weather. These products should only be applied at 0°C (32°F) and above.
