Applicability.

This regulation applies to the Active Army, the Army National Guard/Army National Guard of the United States, and the U.S. Army Reserve unless otherwise stated. It also applies to the following: Uniformed Departments of the Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard (including the active and reserve components of each Service) ; nonmilitary persons under military jurisdiction; selected Federal employees ; selected employees of DOD contractors; and family members and other health care beneficiaries eligible for care within the military health care system. This regulation is applicable during mobilization.

Purpose

 This publication provides the directive requirements for the Military Vaccination Program; establishes general principles, procedures, policies, and responsibilities for the immunization program; and implements military and international health regulations and requirements.
