1 Scope

This specification covers the properties of a black, heat stabilized, thermoplastic vulcanizate containing fully cured EPDM elastomer particles dispersed in a continuous polypropylene matrix. This material has been especially formulated to be used for bonding with polyamide (Nylon 6). The material can be processed by injection molding. 1.1 Material Description. Subparagraphs were not applicable. 1.2 Cross-Reference of Replaced Specifications. Subparagraphs were not applicable. 1.3 Symbol. Not applicable. 1.4 Typical Application. Typical applications include the following: air duct cuff, soft grip handles and knobs. Continuous operating temperature range: 40 to 125 °C. 1.5 Remarks. Not recommended where exposure to fuel or oil for prolonged periods is anticipated.
