This instruction is applicable to all system software programs and competencies within the NAVAIR and the Naval Aviation Program Executive Offices (PEOs); the Program Executive Office for Anti-Submarine Warfare, Assault, and Special Mission Program (PEO(A)); the Program Executive Office for Tactical Aircraft Program (PEO(T)), and the Program Executive Office for Strike Weapon Unmanned Aviation (PEO(W)).
PURPOSE. To establish the System Leadership Council (SLC) and the Software Leadership Team (SLT) as the principals for leadership direction of software systems acquisition, development, and maintenance improvements within the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).
