This instruction implements AFPD 21-1, Managing Aerospace Equipment Maintenance. It provides instruction on how to operate and manage the AFMETCAL Program. It applies to all Air Force activities responsible for designing, developing, controlling, maintaining, and life cycle management of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Maintain and dispose of records created as a result of the processes prescribed in this instruction in accordance with AFMAN 37-139, Records Disposition Schedule.
