AIM

The aim of this agreement is to standardize the criteria for selection and marking of Landing Zones (LZ) for fixed wing aircraft in tactical air transport operations, but excluding LZ used for Special Forces operations. Minimum airfield portable marking and lighting requirements are laid down in STANAGs 3685 and 3534; additional requirements for fixed wing transport operations are specified in this STANAG.
