SUPP-1 to ATP 2, Vol. I, Allied Naval Control of Shipping Manual-Merchant Ship Reporting and Control (MERCO) System, sets forth the requirements and responsibilities of authorities concerned with reporting and controlling the movement of shipping; the methods and procedures for collecting and disseminating shipping information in periods of tension, emergency or war; and the detailed operation of the MERCO system.
This publication should be used in conjunction with ATP 2, Vol. I, and may also be used with EXTAC 1013.
