scope:

Purpose of the FORD GDT TC: Develop plans and strategies, on a world-wide basis, for the adoption, implementation and ongoing use of GDT, in accordance with the adopted Ford Motor Company standard for dimensioning and tolerancing⁽²⁾.

Foster the establishment of GDT representatives within each Ford Motor Company operation.

Develop, implement and maintain ownership, as required, of GDT training modules for use within Ford Motor Company and its approved training resources.

Function as the Ford Motor Company technical resource for GDT world-wide. Resolve technical issues associated with the application, implementation, and maintenance of GDT within Ford Motor Company and supplier operations including, but not limited to, product development, manufacturing, quality control, supplier and systems communities.

Function as the interface with the Ford Motor Company Engineering CAD & Drafting Standards Committee (FECDSC), and national and international committees on all dimensioning and tolerancing issues.

Assist Ford Motor Company operations and individual committee members, as required, on specific applications projects and related GDT issues.
